TutorGator is an online scheduling service functioning as a communication bridge between students and tutors in Gainesville. It was launched to the public on Monday, March 27th, 2006. The website is owned and operated by the graduate students of the University of Florida. 

TutorGator is a great opportunity for students from all classes and grades to find the right tutor for the right class within the right time. The services provided by the website are completely free for students. The website is extremely easy to navigate and utilize. Students are able to search tutors from all areas of expertise ranging from calculus to business to salsa dancing. They can choose the tutor they want, see the respective tutor’s schedule, and choose the time they see fit. Students don’t need to register to use the website; nonetheless the registration is free and it provides students with member only services. 

We have good news! You don’t have to pay for advertising services anymore. No more fees for newspaper ads that won’t even bring any student at all. The website is free for you as well, until you are matched with a student. Then all you have to pay is but a small percentage of your first lecture alone. After that, you are free to keep your students as long as you want! This means you don’t have to pay anything if we cannot help you find a student. The ranking system we have will reward successful tutors as students will be able to see which tutor was given the most positive feedback.
