and click the “TUTOR” link. Then, click the “Register” link. Follow the
instructions and fill out a form to provide your profile information such as
educational background, tutoring experience, and interactive schedule. Make
sure your profile is as comprehensive as possible since students will search
and find the right tutor for them according to tutor’s profile.

and schedules. |

| Do I need to be certified to register? |
| No, you do not need to be certified. But being certified from
a known institution may help. |
| How do I get a tutoring request and what happens after that? |
|
Once you register as a tutor, your information will be stored in
our database. Students will be able to search and find the best tutor for their
needs based on the information tutors provided. If a student chooses you as a
tutor, he/she will request tutoring for which you will be notified via e-mail. The student will pay the greater amount of $5 or 10% of the
total price for the requested number of tutoring hours based on your hourly rate, as the
service fee for matching you with the student. After that, you will be able to see the
contact information of the student under “My students” tab. Then, you will be in direct
contact with the student to schedule your first meeting. The payment
you will receive from the student will be your hourly rate - 10% of your hourly rate from
then on.
Example:
The student agreed to take 20 hours of Calculus with $20 per hour.
This means that, student will pay $40 to TutorGator, and $18 per hour to you.
After the first lecture, you will be in direct contact with the student. You
will still be able to use TutorGator resources such as messaging and evaluation
for students.
|
| What happens if I do not want to tutor the student after his/her course request? |
|
You can choose not to tutor the student after you receive his/her request. However, this will
reduce your tutor rating. In order to avoid this, try to update your profile accordingly.
|
| How does rating system work? |
|
The students whom you have tutored will be able to rate your tutoring skills. Your rating will be visible to students with your
profile information when they search for a tutor.
|
| How does review system work? |
| Only students whom you have tutored will be able to write a review for you. Your reviews will be visible to students with tutor’s profile information when they search for a tutor. |
| How does 100% money back guarantee work? |
|
In your tutor profile, you are asked whether you want to guarantee 100%
money back after the first tutoring session if the student is not satisfied
with your service. You can choose to guarantee 100% money back or not, this is
up to you. The students will be able to see your answer to this question before
they request tutoring from you. We recommend that our tutors guarantee 100%
money back.
As TutorGator, we guarantee to refund any other fee we collect through the
website back to the student if he/she is not satisfied with any of the tutors
after the first lecture. |
